Overseas overview

Since its establishment in April 2006, AWATEA has been recognized as the industry promotion and trade association for marine energy in New Zealand.  It also represents New Zealand on two international committees:

1. The International Energy Agency’s Ocean Energy Systems Implementing Agreement
   
   
2. The International Electrotechnical Commission’s Technical Committee 114 for Marine Energy Converters
