Annual General Meetings
AWATEA’s Annual General Meeting is usually held in central Wellington in August and is open to members and non-members. Apart from conducting the Association’s business, such as elections to the Executive, the meetings are usually held with a presentation or mini-conference.
Special General Meetings are generally only held when issues requiring a vote are called for.
Annual Conference
AWATEA holds an Annual Conference sometime between March and May. To date the conferences have been held in central Wellington and are open to members and non-members alike. The Executive selects a theme relevant to present or future development of marine energy in New Zealand. Each conference consists of a selection of presentations on relevant themes, which are available to members and conference registrants on the website.
More details of past and future conferences can be found under the AWATEA events page.
Meetings and Workshops
Each year the Executive arranges at least one meeting or workshop additional to the AGM and Annual Conference meetings. These additional meetings are usually on a specific theme, relevant to current developments in marine energy.
| Meeting | Date | Subject |

| Mini-conference: | August 2007 | Developers' Day |
